Our Kittens

What to expect with a Townhill Kitten

IMG_6393.jpeg

At Townhill Maine Coons, our kittens are bred and raised with care, intention, and respect for the Maine Coon breed. Each kitten is thoughtfully matched to their future home and rehomed with their long-term wellbeing at the centre of every decision we make.

Our kittens are raised to be confident, healthy companions, fully prepared for life in their new families.

Health & Veterinary Care

Before leaving us, every Townhill Maine Coon kitten is:

  • Neutered

  • Fully vaccinated, (Including FeLV)

  • Microchipped

  • Wormed and flea treated

  • Vet health checked at least 3 times

Neutering prior to rehoming supports long-term health and allows kittens to settle into their new homes without the stress of later procedures.

Registration & Pedigree

All Townhill kittens are:

  • GCCF & TICA registered

  • Rehomed with full pedigree documentation

  • Rehomed on a non-active (pet) agreement

We are registered with GCCF (Governing Council of the Cat Fancy), the main pedigree registry in the UK, and TICA (The International Cat Association), an internationally recognised registry promoting ethical breeding and global breed standards.

Dual registration provides reassurance that your Maine Coon kitten is genuinely pedigree, responsibly bred, and fully traceable within the UK and internationally.

Raised in Our Home

Our Maine Coon kittens are raised in our family home, never in cages. They are handled daily, exposed to normal household routines, and raised with their mum and littermates to support correct emotional and behavioural development.

Our adult cats are pets first and foremost, and families are welcome to meet mum (and dad where possible) when visiting.

Kitten Pack

Each kitten is rehomed with a Townhill Kitten Pack to support a smooth transition, including:

  • Feeding guidance

  • Routine and care notes

  • Settling-in advice

  • Familiar items carrying mum and litter scent

This helps kittens settle confidently and comfortably in their new homes.

Private Owner Support Group

Townhill kitten families receive access to our private owner support group, where you can:

  • Stay connected with your kitten’s siblings and their families

  • Share updates, photos, and milestones

  • Ask questions and receive ongoing guidance

This community allows us to continue supporting our kittens and their families as they grow.

Contract & Home Requirements

All Townhill kittens are rehomed with:

  • A comprehensive rehoming agreement

  • An indoor-only requirement, unless a secure catio or professionally installed cat-safe garden system is in place

  • Collection in a secure cat carrier / or delivery

These measures are in place solely to protect the welfare of the kitten for life.

Ongoing Support

We provide lifetime breeder support and are always happy to offer guidance on care, nutrition, development, and behaviour. We genuinely enjoy following our kittens as they grow and remain available to our families whenever needed.

Our Commitment

We place our kittens carefully and thoughtfully, and we may ask questions to ensure the right match. In some cases, we may decide a placement is not suitable — always with the kitten’s best interests at heart.

If you are looking for a responsibly bred, well-raised GCCF & TICA registered Maine Coon kitten, rehomed with care, transparency, and long-term support, you are very welcome at Townhill.
